Day OneHundred!

Today marks the one hundredth consecutive day of running for a current total of 253.2 miles for 2013. I have ran the roads, the trails, the track and up and down mountains (and twice on a treadmill) I've run in 4 different states in the snow, in the rain, and in the El Paso sandstorms. I have run fast, slow, and just slightly faster than a walk. I've dislocated my knee and gotten blisters (still holding on to all my toenails!) I've hashed and raced just ran. I've run alone, with my special olympians, with my love, and with my Soldiers. I've been awarded medals at the end of a few runs. I've run drunk, sick, and just after surgery. I've run in a kilt, a tutu, and jeans. In the morning and in the evening. Somedays are easy, some days I hated running, some days I debated not going. But everyday I got off my butt and laced up my shoes and put one foot in front of the other. I have a love/ hate relationship with running, but those miles patiently wait for me to run them. I am not a great runner, but even mediocre runners like me can achieve great goals. Everyday is a new adventure. 100 down, 265 to go!
